Specialized center for drug development for lung injury Introduction
To strengthen competitiveness in the medical market through the intensive growth of special interest and to reinvent brand value of the hospital, we:
1) Develop prevention, diagnosis, and treatment techniques,
2) Have product developments approved in the inside and outside of the country,
3) Create new knowledge and techniques with relations between Universities, Businesses and Research Institutes.
4) Develop new profit models which are needed alongside the base of support from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Korea health industry development institutes.
The specialized center for drug development for lung injury
This center develops treatment techniques for intractable lung injury through its good research environment, system improvement for stronger research capabilities and human resource development, based on studies of pathogenesis and treatment of lung diseases including airway diseases. The objective is the development of new remedies which can be recognized inside and outside of Korea.
The Chon-buk National University Hospital and Yuhan research center, with 60 professional researchers including the director, Prof. Lee Yong-chul, participate in Detailed task No.1; the development of remedy by vascular targeting therapy, Detailed task No.2; the development of remedy by regulation of PHV axis, Detailed task No.3; the development of remedy by analysis of drug characteristics, Detailed task No.4; the development of immune regulators for inflammatory pulmonary fibrosis, Detailed task No.5; the study for safety and formulation of new remedies. Our efforts develop new remedies may raise the quality of life for patients with intractable lung diseases worldwide. http://www.rcpd.re.kr
